Any recommendations or any I should avoid? Also, my husband hired someone by the last name Alcala? Anyone know what I can expect?

go to alllaw.com put in your state. It should give you a list of attorneys. Also what I did was email everyone asking who they knew of both good and bad so I could make a decision from there. It worked out well for me.
Good luck!

“Good” divorce lawyer is an oxymoron.. they are all scumbuckets making a living on human misery….
Try to come to an out of court settlement that will look a lot like the typical settlement after litigation.
Kids? He gets em every other weekend, one day during the week every other holiday, and birthday…and half of each school break.
Support? Guidelines are set by the state. Make sure the kids are on some-body’s insurance.
Property? you know what’s fair, and so does he, let him have the sports car and the stereo, he can let you have the furniture and you can buy him out of the house, or you can sell it and split the proceeds, no need to get scum buckets involved… ask him to settle out of court, then both of you can hire a lawyer to get a judge to make what you agree on official.
Both of you should put your hurt feelings aside and settle out of court, take the 150 K the both of you will spend on lawyers to litigate this and put it away for retirement or for college…
