What is it that you consider justice? I need a bit more information as to why you think you did not receive justice.

My ex and I divorced in NY State…he kept his car…I kept mine.
He didn’t want anything inside the home as far as furniture, etc (after 22 years and his carelessness it was all falling apart anyway)
Child support for the two still minor kids was ordered until they turned 21-the minimum the State law requires. No maintenace of course since I was self-supporting and contributing to over 50% of the children’s financial needs.
I got 100% credit at the sale of the marital home for reducing the principal on the mortage loan ( I paid the mortgage, he didn’t) for those 10 years we were separated.
he got 100% credit for paying off the balance of a home improvement loan by himself.
When the house sold, as per divorce decreee ordered. after all legal costs, realtor’s fee, etc..and the above credits we each made a very tidy profit…I got about three thousand more
than he did…which really wasn’t much more at all.
I gave up claim to his pension…..he gave up claim to mine…..we each paid our own lawyer’s fee.
Tell me, sounds fair?
